I stand and face the infinite space
as music of spheres enters my ears
starlight upon the grasses like lace
a wish of hope and prayers of good cheer
out there a wandering both far and near
awaiting for someone to listen and hear
above is below like the fall of snow
each flake unique but adrift as one
we stand in this place until we are done
within there is something, defined Divine
that spark of life beyond worldly care
like a comforting friend, always there
i am a ghost filled with the secret gnosis
in a strange land, a thought away from lore
but I’ve been here before, just another door
in this world an eternal battle is waged
two powerful spirits called love and fear
one of domination and control, one so dear
there is no need for others to tell us who we are
how and whom to “worship”; we are sovereign
know that “ye are gods” and within, not a doctrine

My favorite stanza...
within there is something, defined Divine
that spark of life beyond worldly care
like a comforting friend, always there
Thank you Richard for sharing at The Surreal Circus.
Hey papa, an old friend and I stopped by the Collaborative Poetry Cafe today. We left a little something behind:

I just read my 2!! brothers excellent poem and it it an honor to know 2 fine poets that are not afraid to take a stand against the evil, pain and suffering that has been unleashed in these trying times. Fantastic work!!
a work to show
the soft beauty
of goodness
in a world
full of
hard evils
sweetness
and beauty
win the war
every time
